Week 9 Recap

0-2. I got absolutely destroyed in the NCFFL as the Frankenstein scored a whopping 155 points to my decent 94. The deciding factor in the match up was RB play where Parker and Jones-Drew scored a combined 10 as compared to Peterson and Portis' 71. So that one sucked, but to make matters worse I then couldn't hold a 55 point lead against Big Ben, Hines Ward, and the Steelers D. I could easily see losing to those thre with a 55 point lead if it weren't pouring down rain, but it was but Ben managed to throw 5 touchdowns to my delight as a Steeler fan, but this loss in the Neshannock Ballers league coupled with the loss in the NCFFL puts me a 4-5 in each league. So I guess I was a little greedy hoping for two wins with my teams, but hopefully I can at least pick up a win next week as I feel like a have slight edge over John's Phoenixes as Chad Johnson is unlikely to play and I feel I have a better QB Romo compared to Favre (who is amazing though) and a much better WR core, but you never know what can happen. However, I play Davis in the Neshannock Baller's league and I think he has a pretty impressive team that will likely beat mine. So hopefully I can pick up some good players tomorrow and position myself to give me a shot in the Yahoo league.

At least the Steelers improved to 6-2, and have a decently easy schedule for the remainder of the year. We play the Browns next week who are actually good, but at least we play them at home. Then we have to go to New England and also play Jacksonville who always gives us troubles since they were in our division back in the day, but we do play them at home. However, besides that we have the Jets, Ravens, Bengals, Dolphins, and Rams who all are playing very sub par. So I really think we'll likely finish 12-4, and if we get to the playoffs we can easily have a repeat performance of our '05 Super Bowl run, which I don't think is completely out of the question, but it won't be very easy as we'll likely have to beat New England and Indianapolis two games in a row, which is nothing short of impossible, but you never know.
