Well in the NCFLL at least I managed to edge out Chad's squad in the last week of the season as Colston had a big Monday night. I finished the season .500 at 7-7, which may seem very average, but what really hurt is that I scored the 5th most points, but had the most points scored against me. So overall a good solid year where I had a couple of moves really work out like Romo and others like my RBs not workout too well.
As for the Neshannock Ballers League I managed to score the 4th most points out of 10 teams and not only did I not make the playoffs I couldn't even win any games as I went 4-10.
So I think both of my situations in each league is evidence enough for the fact that a change needs to be implemented in the form of at least playing more than one opponent each week. I don't think merely having a point system makes the games quite as exciting, whereas playing a couple of people a week would make each week twice as exciting because if you get blown out by one opponent you still might have a chance to watch against the other for example. Either way I can't wait for next year!
Good luck to the playoff teams!

Till Next Year...
The Gambler's Anonymous have officially been eliminated from both the NCFFL League and the Yahoo League. A crushing loss to the Average Joe's sealed the deal for the NCFFL. I had some RB issues this year as Willie Parker couldn't find the end zone all year and that trend continued last night. Additionally, Maroney was sidelined with injuries and watching Brady throw for 500 yards and 8 TDs a game. I think I had a pretty nice receiver core although Colston started out slow and Driver has seemed to become the second option in Green Bay behind Jennings. Romo was unbelievable all year and kept me in games, but I had 0 production from the TE spot all year. As for the Yahoo League although I think I am going to beat Joe this week, my issues pretty much arose from a beat up RB core which included Ronnie Brown who had a season ending injury, Shaun Alexander being out for about half the year, and rookie Marshawn Lynch who was putting up big numbers has been sidelined for a few weeks due to an ankle injury.
I definitely think first of all next year the NCFFL should move to Yahoo as it has much superior software. Additionally, I wouldn't mind the league to play on a point system where the top four points scorers in the league make the playoffs, and then the top two points scorers will meet in the championship. Yet, realistically this isn't too exciting week to week. So, at the very least I feel it is imperative to at least play two opponents each week in order lessen the luck involved.

Go Willie!!!
Well my team is so bad in the Neshannock Ballers Yahoo League that I actually lost to a team that didn't even put in a QB or even update their team in the past four weeks. Yet Frank Gore and Antonio Gates conveniently had their best games of the year against me and besides Favre's 31 pts., the rest of my time laid an egg. Oh well I had no shot at the playoffs anyhow, but I hate losing in anything.
As for the NCFFL, Thanksgiving Day football was pretty good to me, besides Romo who had one of his worst games of the year only putting up 17 pts., Driver, Wayne, and the Colts DEF each put up 10+ pts. I managed to have Brady have his worst game of the year against me, unfortunately Kolby Smith and Larry Fitzgerald had their biggest games of the year each putting up 27 pts against me. Anyhow, I have Willie Parker left tonight and although I think he'll have a big game tonight, but I need 21 pts. to tie and 22 pts. to win and I just don't foresee that happening with his lack of TDs this year. I think he'll realistically have 12 pts. - 18 pts. tonight and I think the yards will be there, but I just can't imagine him getting more than 2 TDs tonight. At least I'll be at the game to cheer him on, so may be that will enable him to have his game of the year tonight against the league's worst rushing DEF. I basically need it to keep my playoff hopes alive! GO GAMBLERS!!!!! GOOOOO WILLIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Phew...
You never root for someone to get hurt, and I am not suggesting that I did, but if he hadn't I was going to lose against Pat's Creeping Bentgrass and likely have no shot at making the playoffs. So we are still alive and have a big game next weekend against Team Bulldog, who thanks to Brady keep putting up some monster numbers. So I am going to need some more production out of my RBs if I am going to have a chance in week 12.

Ouch....
I had a great output in my Yahoo Neshannock Baller's League scoring 116 good for 3rd high in the league. However, that wasn't good enough for a win against High Gravity who put up 124 thanks to 36 points from Moss and 23 points from Hasselbeck. I had some pretty solid numbers overall as noone really laid an egg for me and considering I had to use Maurice Morris and Ron Dayne as my RBs due to a season ending injury to Ronnie Brown and a couple of more injuries to Shaun Alexander and Marshawn Lynch I was pretty pleased with their combined 25 points. This in combination w/ all of 26 points from Favre, 14 from Housh, 11 from Holt, 8 from Porter, 10 from Watson, and 18 from the NE DEF. Oh well, things are now looking very bleak for me in this league, but hopefully I can at least mess up someone's playoff chances!
As for the CBS league I currently have scored the 3rd most points in this league, however the only person who has a shot to pass me likely will, as Pat's Creeping Bentgrass sits only 8 points behind me with Selvin Young to run tomorrow. Young is going up against a stingy TEN DEF, so if they can keep him out of the end zone I think I will have a shot at winning. So definitely a must watch tomorrow night for me and a must win, as it three of the four 6-4 teams will win, and if Pat wins that will make four 7-4 teams and Joe 8-3, and with a 5-6 record that would probably be too much to overcome. I managed to do well and put up 106 points thanks to continued Tony Romo production, the Colts DEF doing well for me. Even despite poor RB performance from Willie Parker who only put up 5 points. This mirrored the terrible performance from the Steelers in general who lost to the 1-8 Jets. So this has the potential to be one terrible weekend in football!!! Boo Selvin Young!!! Go Gambler's Anonymous!!!

Put Up Some Points
However, I managed to only go 1-1 this week. Thankfully the win came in the NCFFL where I won pretty handily of John's Phoenician Phoenixes 108 to 79 thanks to a couple of big games from Tony Romo who put up 31 and Reggie Wayne who put up 20. So this puts me in 6th place at 5-5 however there is a 4 way tie for 2nd where all teams are 6-4 and I have a shot at Pat's Creeping Bentgrass this week and I think I am going to get my head back above .500 this week. I have the slightest of edges in the GameCennter Preview as I am favored 98 to 97 and I for the most part I like my match ups I had a slight edge w/ Romo against Kitna, he has an edge at RB w/ Addai, but I like both of my running backs much better than his 2nd RB Jamal Lewis. I feel I have a much better receiving core w/ against his Johnson, Williams, and Henry. Given that Johnson has been hurt for most of the year and Henry has been suspended for most of the year and is only the third option for the Bengals. However, he has a big edge at TE w/ Cooley, but I think I like my defense better than his despite Freeney being out because Larry Johnson is out for KC.
As for the Yahoo league I'm in 7th place at 4-6 and play High Gravity who is pretty loaded the preview has him favored 112 to 86. I just hope the Seattle RB situation gets clarified before the weekend so I can safely start either Alexander or Morris. So, being realistic it looks like another 1-1 weak for me.

Week 9 Recap
0-2. I got absolutely destroyed in the NCFFL as the Frankenstein scored a whopping 155 points to my decent 94. The deciding factor in the match up was RB play where Parker and Jones-Drew scored a combined 10 as compared to Peterson and Portis' 71. So that one sucked, but to make matters worse I then couldn't hold a 55 point lead against Big Ben, Hines Ward, and the Steelers D. I could easily see losing to those thre with a 55 point lead if it weren't pouring down rain, but it was but Ben managed to throw 5 touchdowns to my delight as a Steeler fan, but this loss in the Neshannock Ballers league coupled with the loss in the NCFFL puts me a 4-5 in each league. So I guess I was a little greedy hoping for two wins with my teams, but hopefully I can at least pick up a win next week as I feel like a have slight edge over John's Phoenixes as Chad Johnson is unlikely to play and I feel I have a better QB Romo compared to Favre (who is amazing though) and a much better WR core, but you never know what can happen. However, I play Davis in the Neshannock Baller's league and I think he has a pretty impressive team that will likely beat mine. So hopefully I can pick up some good players tomorrow and position myself to give me a shot in the Yahoo league.
At least the Steelers improved to 6-2, and have a decently easy schedule for the remainder of the year. We play the Browns next week who are actually good, but at least we play them at home. Then we have to go to New England and also play Jacksonville who always gives us troubles since they were in our division back in the day, but we do play them at home. However, besides that we have the Jets, Ravens, Bengals, Dolphins, and Rams who all are playing very sub par. So I really think we'll likely finish 12-4, and if we get to the playoffs we can easily have a repeat performance of our '05 Super Bowl run, which I don't think is completely out of the question, but it won't be very easy as we'll likely have to beat New England and Indianapolis two games in a row, which is nothing short of impossible, but you never know.

Weekend Preview
This weekend I have a pretty tough game in the NCFFL where I'll be playing Jeff Graziani's Frankensteins. It's a pretty pivotal match up as we are both sitting right in the middle of the division at 4-4, but I am on a two game winning streak while he has lost his last two. I think he has a slight edge this week, as evidence by the predicted score of 103 to 99 in his favor. We both have some pretty solid teams as I have Romo at QB against his Palmer. Running back wise I have Parker and he has Peterson, both of whom play some tough defenses in Baltimore and San Diego respectively. Additionally, we both have a solid core of WRs as I have Wayne, Colston, and Driver where as he has Boldin, Owens, and Jennings. So things should be pretty tight for us in the NCFFL tomorrow, but hopefully I can pull this one out because I think I have a slight edge tomorrow in the Yahoo Neshannock Ballers league where I play Jono's team both of whose QBs are playing tough teams as Big Ben plays Baltimore and Brees plays Jacksonville. So we'll see, I like how things are looking for each league as I am right in the mix of both leagues as I'm in 5th place in each 10 man league so hopefully I can win both games in one weekend for only the 2nd times this year and we'll be in great shape.
